Referrals

Everyone with a ChannelForge account has a personal invite link. When someone creates an account through it and their first paid month (or year) goes through, you both get 300 credits, two weeks later, as long as they are still subscribed. A sign-up alone earns nothing, so the reward only follows a real customer.

How it works#

1. Share your link. Send it to anyone who runs channels, or wants to. It is remembered for 30 days on the device they open it on.
2. They choose a paid plan. Two weeks after their first paid month (or year) goes through, if they are still subscribed, the referral is rewarded.
3. You both get 300 credits. Theirs go to the workspace that paid, yours to the first workspace you own. They last 12 months.

Get your link#

1. Open your account menu (your name, at the bottom of the sidebar) and choose Refer & earn — or Account & security → Refer & earn → Get your link.
2. Under Your link, press Copy link.

Your link looks like https://forge.storeswiki.com/r/ followed by an eight-character code, made the first time you open the page. The code is read the forgiving way: capitals, spaces and hyphens do not matter, and a mistyped i or l is read as 1 and an o as 0.

Your referrals shows what your link has done: Signed up with your link, Paid their first month and Credits you've earned.

The exact rules#

Who counts as your referral#

• Someone who creates a new account through your link within 30 days of opening it, on that device. The link is kept in a cookie only the server can read, and dropped once they sign up.
• Someone already signed in who opens your link simply goes to the app: links count for new accounts only.
• An account is linked to the person whose link it came through once, at sign-up, and never re-pointed — opening another person's link later changes nothing.
• Your own link never refers you, and the link of an account that is disabled or deleted does not count (the visitor still reaches sign-up).

What earns the reward#

• The newcomer's first paid subscription period — a plan's first monthly or yearly payment, by card or PayPal — in a workspace the newcomer created.
• Credit packs do not count, nor does the Trial, nor a plan granted by our staff.
• The payment qualifies the referral. Fourteen days later, if the workspace that paid still has an active subscription, both of you are rewarded.
• If by then the workspace has no active subscription (it was cancelled, or ended), nothing is paid — and the referral waits for a new paid period, which qualifies it again (with a new 14-day wait).

The reward#

• A referral is rewarded once per newcomer, ever — their later payments add nothing.
• If you own no workspace other than your friend's, or your account is disabled, only your friend's half is granted.
• Referral credits are for using ChannelForge. They cannot be exchanged for money and do not roll over; like every grant, the credits that expire soonest are used first.

Credits and plans#

Referrals cost nothing and work on every account, whatever the plan of your workspaces. Each credit is $0.10 of list value; for scale, a standard episode typically uses 193 credits on Creator (see Credits and plans).

Limits and good to know#

• The 30 days are the link's memory on a device before sign-up; after sign-up the link between the two accounts is permanent.
• A first month whose subscription is cancelled within the 14 days never pays out; the wait is there for that.
